Jan Mickelson Death Cause
Longtime conservative radio host Jan Mickelson, 74, tragically passed away over the weekend while working for WHO in Des Moines, Iowa. Mickelson was apparently hospitalized before his away, albeit the exact cause of his passing is yet unknown. The radio broadcaster was well-known for his contentious views on the American political landscape and minority communities. On July 29, 2023, one of his family members posted on Facebook that Mickelson had been brought to the hospital in a critical condition with low blood pressure and kidney failure. He was responding to the treatment, according to the post, and the nurses were amused by him.
“Mom and I, Jill, Alexander, and Evonelle are all requesting healing, consolation, and support prayers. Every prayer is helpful. The post concluded, “Thank you so much. The day after Mickelson passed away, Jan’s wife Suzy again revealed it in a Facebook post, writing: “Our family is appreciative for all the warm wishes, love, and support. Your generosity and prayers have kept us going over the past few days. Jan enjoyed educating, informing, and entertaining others. All of his listeners liked him. His biggest accomplishment is the people he inspired. In a Facebook post, politician Eddie Andrews stated that Jan Mickelson saw himself as a teacher. The general manager of WHO Radio, Joel McCrea, revealed that Jan Mickelson had a stroke in 2015.
Later, in a Facebook post, the late radio personality himself addressed the health scare. According to the post, on November 21, 2015, he started slurring his words and felt lightheaded. His wife urged him to take a seat before dialing 911. The Ankeny Paramedics then attended to Mikelson. They brought me to Mercy Hospital, where it was determined that I had just suffered a stroke. I underwent a very recent neurological operation that removes the blood clot from the artery, as well as TPA (tissue plasminogen activator), which dissolves the blood clot. Mickelson requested everyone’s prayers in a letter stating that the procedure was performed at the University of Iowa Hospitals and that he was healing slowly. He joined WHO once more in 2016 and began hosting a weekday half-hour show.
